The morning starts early
Moving day usually begins earlier than you'd like!
Before the movers arrive, you'll want to make sure everything is packed, labelled and ready to go. Keep important documents, keys, medication, valuables and anything you'll need during the day somewhere safe and easy to access.
And, of course, make sure you've had a cuppa. You're going to need it!
The removal team arrives
When our team arrives, we'll take a look around and get familiar with what needs to be moved.
This is a good opportunity to point out anything particularly fragile, anything that needs special care, or items that aren't being moved.
From there, we can get started.
Loading the van
This is where all those boxes finally disappear!
Our experienced removal team will carefully carry your furniture, boxes and belongings from the property and load everything securely into the van.
We'll work methodically, making sure items are protected and the available space is used efficiently.
Large furniture is usually loaded strategically, with boxes and smaller items secured around it. The aim is to make the journey as safe as possible for your belongings.
While you're waiting...
Once the van is loaded, you may have a little time before you can get the keys to your new home.
If you're buying or selling, this is often when the legal side of the move happens and keys are released.
It's also a good time to double-check the property.
Have you emptied the loft? Checked the shed? Looked inside cupboards? Made sure you haven't left anything behind?
A final walk around the house can save you from discovering that forgotten box six months later!
Off to your new home
Once everything is ready, it's time to head to your new address.
For many people, this is the exciting part. The stressful packing and organising is nearly over, and you're on your way to a fresh start.

"Kitchen" boxes can go straight into the kitchen, "Bedroom" boxes can go upstairs, and so on.
You don't need to unpack everything immediately. Getting the essentials in place first is often the best approach.
The all-important kettle
Eventually, the van is empty, your belongings are safely inside, and the removal team has finished.
Now it's time to breathe.
Find the kettle.
Make a brew.
And give yourself a moment to appreciate that you've made it!
Your new home might still be surrounded by boxes, but that's perfectly normal. Moving day is about getting everything safely from A to B. The unpacking can happen at your own pace.
What should you keep with you?
Although most of your belongings will travel in the removal van, it's sensible to keep a small bag with you containing the things you'll need immediately.
Think:

- Phone and charger
- Medication
- Toiletries
- A change of clothes
- Basic cleaning supplies
- Snacks and drinks
- Kettle essentials
- Anything your children or pets need
Keeping these items separate means you won't have to hunt through ten boxes just to find your phone charger or toothbrush.
